Safranbolu “Cultural Heritage and Protectionism” held under the theme of “18th International Golden Safran Documentary Film Festival” was given the best restored home plaque.
The ceremony was held because of the “best restored house” award given to Babahan Konakları belonging to Cengiz Aydin which is said to be 150 years old in Babasultan neighborhood.
Fatih Ürkmezer, Governor of the Safranbolu District and the Mayor, spoke at the ceremony and thanked them for their work in the restoration of the house.
Safranbolu houses living in the future generations of those living in a great place that expresses that Urkmezer, said:
“The house owners have a great share in the transfer of such houses to future generations, which belong to the historical turn of life that people have lived together with.
However, I thank the family for their devotion to this work as we have now, and for their handicrafts to Safranbolu to our homeland and future generations. I hope we have something nice here today. The rest of the restored houses waiting to be restored are examples of this work. Safranbolu’nın beautiful homes in the next generation provides the best way to be transferred.
After the speech, members of Ürkmezer and other protocol members struck home with the plaque of “best restored house”.
